Agniveer Recruitment: Recruitment for Agniveer under Agnipath Scheme in Indian Army has been released. This is a good opportunity for the youth who want to make a career by joining the Indian Army. Online applications are invited from the eligible candidates for this recruitment of Firefighter in Indian Army. Who can apply online from February 13.

Agniveer Recruitment

The application process for the recruitment of 25,000 fire fighters under the Agnipath scheme in the Indian Army was to start from January 8. But the online form filling process has not started yet. According to the notification published on the official website for army recruitment https://joinindianarmy.nic.in, the online application process for the Common Entrance Exam 2024-25 will be started from February 13. As per the notification placed on the official website, the registration for Common Entrance Exam will start from 13 February 2024. Last date to apply for firefighter recruitment is 21 March. Candidates have to take special care while filling the application form. Because once the detail sumbit is done it will be considered as final.











For recruitment to the Indian Army, the Common Entrance Test was conducted for the first time in April 2023 for recruitment to other posts including fire fighters and JCOs. Applications for Common Entrance Test for Indian Army Recruitment are done in online mode. The exam will be organized in the month of April. Candidates who qualify this exam will be called for physical and medical test.

550 rupees + GST has to be paid as an application fee for recruitment to the post of Agnivir in the Indian Army.

Agniveer Recruitment Educational Qualification

The following educational qualifications are prescribed for recruitment under Agniveer in the Indian Army.

10th pass with minimum 45% is required for Agnivir General Duty post in Indian Army.

Whereas for Agniveer Technical post, pass with minimum 50% marks in 12th standard (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and English).

For Agniveer Storekeep/Clerk post must have passed 12th with minimum 60% marks. Must have minimum 50% marks in English and Mathematics/Accounts/Book Keeping.

10th/8th pass for the post of Tradesman.

Agniveer Recruitment Age Limit

The minimum age limit for becoming an Agniveer in the Indian Army is 17 years while the maximum age limit is 21 years.














Selection Process

The selection process for firefighter recruitment in the Indian Army is done in four stages.

  • written examination
  • Physical fitness test
  • Physiological criteria
  • Medical test

Agniveer recruitment written exam is conducted of 100 marks. In which 30 questions each of 15 marks are asked from General Knowledge, General Science, Maths, while Logical Reasoning has 5 questions of 10 marks each. Similarly 50 questions of 100 marks are asked. 1/4 marks negative marking is also provided for each wrong answer in this exam. Candidates need to score at least 35 marks to pass the exam. However, the final selection of candidates is done on the basis of merit.
